Summary
New York Times bestselling author Bernard Cornwell returns with his iconic hero, Richard Sharpe.

SHARPE IS BACK. The guns of Waterloo have barely cooled when the Duke of Wellington sends Lieutenant-Colonel Sharpe on a desperate dash into France. A ruthless commander who never leaves a debt unpaid, Sharpe must storm the citadel of Ham to free an allied captive before the garrison executes their prisoners.

Beyond that blood-soaked fortress lies Paris, where Napoleon’s defeated army seethes and conspirators plot in the shadows. Handpicked by Wellington for the dirtiest business in France, Sharpe enters the capital under orders to hunt down a lethal brotherhood sworn to vengeance.

Outsider. Hero. Rogue. And the one man you want on your side.

Sharpe's Assassin is the brand-new novel in the bestselling historical series that has sold more than twenty million copies worldwide.

A fitting addition to the series and fills some gaps in the aftermath of Waterloo. Final contest with Lanier seems a bit over the top but somehow works especially when Sharpe resorts/reverts to his baser instincts and gutter tactics in his struggle for survival....narrator first class.
