Sherlock Holmes and Watson Exposed

With fifty-six short stories and four novels about Holmes and Watson, there's a great wealth of material to analyze on this crime-solving pair, not to mention the hundreds of movies, TV shows, radio plays and theatrical productions made from the originals. But just how closely are Watson and Conan Doyle alike? Both worked as physicians, and Watson narrates most of the tales.
