Summary
Discover the secret to loving and honoring your life—even when it has become rough and messy.

'...Rediscover your lost dreams and uncover a renewed passion for moving forward.' —Lysa TerKeurst, New York Times bestselling author and president of Proverbs 31 Ministries

Do you feel lost in the middle of your life? Have you somehow drifted far from where you thought you'd be? Chrystal Evans Hurst shares raw and vulnerable stories from her own life to show you how you can find your way back to yourself.

This moment of awareness happens to lots of women at different seasons of their lives. Poor decisions, a lack of intentionality or planning, or a long-term denial of deep hopes and dreams can leave us, old or young, reeling from the realization that we are lost, disappointed, or simply numb.

How do we recover from this?

With refreshing authenticity and fierce encouragement, Chrystal will help you:

- Recognize hard seasons as refining moments, not defining moments.
- Reject the lie that you'll never move forward.
- Discover practical ways to connect with your God-given next steps.
- Embrace your identity as both a masterpiece and a work in progress.

This is your life, but it's not too late to make it a life you love. It's not too late to recover the hopeful girl that's still in there.

I completed this in June-July 2021 and absolutely LOVED it. Thanks Chrystal for your brutal, raw honesty and the title was repeated and woven throughout. Navigating your faith, life, struggles and hope were mesmerising - thanks for sharing

Awesome book. She gives you practical advice on how to handle certain situations that all of us women gave or will face. I will be listening to this one again.

The author mentions Brene Brown “Owning your own story” and Sheryl Sandberg “Leaning In”. Quote from the book, “One reason we struggle with insecurity, we’re comparing our behind the scenes with everyone else’s highlight reel.” Steven Furtick. While I thought “It’s Not supposed to be this way” was “too much” on religious affirmations (it was still good), I thought Chrystal Evans Hurst was amazing! This book was inspirational, uplifting, and a reminder of how to remember who you are, where you come from, where your going, and how to keep in touch with who you want to be! I loved this book and would recommend it!
