Unabridged Audiobook
A book more interested in peddling religious and patriarchal ideology than any kind of storytelling… Every part of its 13 hours focuses on the same trite plot points whose resolution was obvious from their first introduction. And the amount of religiousness - which somehow increases more and more throughout the book - takes over almost completely towards the end. Wasted time, I’d skip it.
Great story. Beautifully written and narrated. Gives a perspective of early life in the US we rarely get a glimpse of. Perspectives not commonly shown in history books. This story gets bizarrely religious towards the end. That’s the only reason I didn’t didn’t give it 5 stars.
