Unabridged Audiobook
This is the second time I've read this book. Powerful message, a young man with tremendous potential can't seem to leave his past behind him.
Powerful book I recommend everyone read it ! Very inspiring and at the same time a true depiction of life in America for a black man
The narrator was very good. I found the life story of Rob Peace interesting but the book boring - if you can understand that.
I am blessed to have known this family. They have in multiple seams have woven myself into wonderful blanket of love. Simply, just happy to have known them. However, I disagree with many of the innuendos and dispictions expressed by the author. Many situations I feel were over exaggerated, for drama & shock sake. The family wasn't poor, they didn't struggle, they were no ways hungry. Mrs Francis fed everyone. They were and are fine, educated and well to do people. I first met Sean in 8th grade and knew then, he would have lasting impact on the world. I just wish that he could have seen it for himself. KG
Excellent book and story that illustrates the reality of social and racial injustices!
The narration was great. The story was heartbreaking because Rob Peace was so intelligent but so tragic on making so many bad decisions..........What a waste!!!!
This was an excellent listen! The story of Rob Peace as told through the eyes of his college roommate was amazing and heartbreaking. I hope to see more books from this author in the future.
