The book was fantastic to listen to. Even though it was my first time, I had a great time. All of the characters' voices were distinct, and the pacing was flawless. By simply listening, I was able to infer the characters' feelings, which I adore. Both the narration and the flow were flawless. [Potential spoilers removed]

Holden and Lexi’s chemistry is off the charts! I really enjoyed this audiobook- having read most of Evey’s other books, I’d say this one turns up the heat a bit more. Love the banter between the two! I love the interactions with the kids- they were super cute and funny!

The banter between Holden and Lexi is top tier from the very beginning, and it’s what helps them both fall for one another. The relationship between them flows easily, and even with the drama, it all flows smoothly. The chemistry is of the charts for both of them, and the storyline flows easily as well. Lori and Harry, Holden’s children are great characters, and seeing them grow in the story adds depth to this easy to listen to book. The narrators brought good energy to the characters, and made me enjoy the story more than the first time I read it. This is the second book in the Lakeshore Spark Inn series, and can be read as a standalone but you’ll benefit from reading the previous book in the series. The next book looks wonderful too.

I love all the Lake Spark books - read them and now listening to them so looked forward to hearing this one. I enjoyed this audiobook but struggled a bit with Holden’s character at the start - his attitude and how he treated Lexi was hard to get onboard with and I wasn’t sure I liked him. Lexi was strong but gave into Holden too easily. I did like the story as not a typical nanny type story which was good and I liked the family dynamic and the spice was good. I do love small town romances so it’s this alright. Holden became a bit more likeable as the story went on and overall this was a fun audiobook. The actors are good though would prefer it a bit faster but you can’t seem to do this via this app. However they characterise the MCs well and I still enjoyed it. Can be listened to without learning others in the series but you would be missing out. Can’t wait to hear more Evey audiobooks
