Summary
The unabridged digital audio edition of The Silver Chair, book six in the classic fantasy series, The Chronicles of Narnia, narrated by acclaimed actor Jeremy Northam.

Narnia . . . where giants wreak havoc . . . where evil weaves a spell . . . where enchantment rules.

Through dangers untold and caverns deep and dark, a noble band of friends is sent to rescue a prince held captive. But their mission to Underland brings them face-to-face with an evil more beautiful and more deadly than they ever expected.

The Silver Chair is the sixth book in C.S. Lewis’s The Chronicles of Narnia, a series that has become part of the canon of classic literature, drawing readers of all ages into a magical land with unforgettable characters for over fifty years. This is a stand-alone novel, but if you want to discover what happens in the final days of Narnia, read The Last Battle, the seventh and concluding book in The Chronicles of Narnia.

I really enjoyed this reader a lot. He had a lot of range and character. The silver chair is such a classic and the reader did it justice and more.

Having listened to all these books along the way, I started to get bored with the series. I just seemed to lack any real excited or danger. More like watching a slideshow of things happening but never really immersed. Not my favorite of the series. The last book is the best.

I am very impressed with this reader's range of voices - one for each of the many characters. After a little while you forget that it is really only one person speaking. I was also surprised that an unabridged book on CD would be only 5 CDs long. But, this is a good length - it keeps your attention through to the last word...and makes the commute to work so much more interesting!

Another very interesting part of the Narnia series. My 5 year old boy enjoyed it and did not ever want it turned off in the car.
