Single and Ready to Jingle

Great grumpy/sunshine story to start the holidays with! This was such a cute, and entertaining brother’s best friend love story. I love that a strong connection was built between Andrew and Kenzie first before anything. CJ Bloom and John Lane did a great job portraying the characters!

Fabulously Delightful Holiday Romance! Great Story & Listen ~ I absolutely adored this fabulously delightful holiday romance novel that can be enjoyed any time of the year. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it the entire time. Kenzie loves everything about Christmas, it reminds her of times of some of the best times of her life, the time she spent with her grandparents who always made her feel special, unlike her own parents who seem to think she can get nothing right. She is an event planner running her own business and is building up clients. She has set up a date on her dating app and was running late so she went there directly after an event, jingling all the way. Her date, Andrew, was not impressed and practically wrote her off before she even introduced herself. They eat their dinner and Kenzie tried to have a conversation with him, she realizes he is her brother’s best friend and then learns he not only hates the holidays but he is a real live grinch. Let’s say the date did not go well, but when she gets a call from him asking her to help plan a Christmas party for his company, she agrees but not without stipulations. This wonderfully plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions and romance, and it will definitely put a smile on your face. Piper Rayne, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride. ~ And for the fabulous narration, John Lane and CJ Bloom do an exceptional job bringing these characters to life, and do so with a complete understanding of each of their character’s personas. I loved how they took each role and made it their own, sounding natural and believable in every role they played. John Lane nails it as Andrew, from his English accent to his gruff and standoffish rudeness. Bloom is a natural in Kenzie’s role, grasps her all sides of her personality from her positivity to her insecurities. Besides nailing it in the lead roles, both were just as fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, handle the witty dialogue with ease and land the humor effortlessly. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture all the character’s emotions and project them into their performance, making you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen.
