It's basically a textbook for Sleep Science 101. You will learn about sleep disorders, but it's not focused on self-help or anything like that. What you will get is a set of well-balanced introductory lessons on the foundations of how sleep works, why it matters, how it varies across the lifespan, and how it is implicated in health and disease.

t's perfect for them -- not dumbed down in any way, not too long, not too dense, has lots of images and illustrations, and is written in a way that is scientifically accurate yet also relatively easy to follow.

This book is NOT for people looking for a self-help sleep solution. This is not a book for people looking for sleep tips or a sleep program or anything like that. It won't try to cure your insomnia or help you use your CPAP machine.
