Unabridged Audiobook
The author is clearly a Christian because the characters discuss their faith a lot. If that's for you then you will love the book a lot more because it is well-written with likeable characters and humour. The religious element not for me, but I let it play on because of the good storyline and characters. I did buy a print copy as a gift for a much more religious loved one.
What a sweet story. I wasn't even half way through when I recommended it to my mom. it made me giggle and laugh out loud at times. The character growth of the two main characters and their blossoming relationship was captivating. The Scottish accent is quite nice on the ears too.
Bing listen this book. Loved it. And the narrators were great. Good feel book.
Nice easy fun listen.
Makes you giggle and definitely put Scotland on a bucket list for vacation. This is definitely not a period drama but a fun Read that warms your heart! Can’t wait for the next book from pepper!
Narrators were very good. A very charming and clean story. I really enjoyed it.
A sweet story. Enjoyed it very much.
It was a good book
I have already read and loved this book and am now enjoying the audio version. I am loving these two narrators. Ms. Nielsen presents a relaxing voice that carries Katie through all of her cute quips, opinions, shenanigans and inner thoughts. While Joshua Manning brings Graeme to life with his soft Scottish accent (oh, my) and his oh-so-perfect portrayal of mister matter-of-fact meets grumpy. They each read all of the voices for their particular chapters but that really didn’t bother me since these two narrators are so well paired. Other things I love about the book itself? The heroine, a ginger-headed travel writer, Katie Campbell, is larger than life (no pun intended) who can’t live up to her mom’s expectations, is beyond accident prone and in need of a hero to save her in more ways than one. Enter Graeme MacKerrow, a “handsome but grumpy, barrel-chested, blue-eyed Scot” who is closed off, owing to grief and hurt, when Katie “falls” into his life. This book is suitable for teens and older with no inappropriate intimate scenes and no bad language. I received this audiobook from the author/publisher free of charge, with no expectation of a positive review.
