I don’t quite know what to make of this. But perhaps that’s the genius of it. When you deal with people who who stray from the truth, it makes you question reality. And after this whole story is told, it leaves you with the same. Genius, right?

great book lots of twists and turn had a bit of time getting into it , but worth the credit

Fantastic! If you liked gone girl you’ll love this. Its as if your on a roller coaster and you don’t which way you’ll be turning next. Keeps you guessing till the end. Then you’ll find yourself needed to go over the last two chapters again. And you’ll still think, “what! I didn’t see that coming” Hoping there’s a sequel.

Great book that had me thinking I knew what was going on & twisted another way. It did end with questions, but in my opinion it worked considering how the story played out.

If you like Gone Girl you’ll like this book. I couldn’t predict what was coming next. So good! Wish I had more time to compliment the narrator, 5 stars, easy to follow.

Very exciting listen and the narrator was excellent! I finished it in a day and a half!

I've read/listened to other Alice Feeney books, so I know her style is quite subversive with unexpected twists. There was something about this book, however, that was too confusing to fully follow at the end. It's presented at the very beginning that you're dealing with an unreliable narrator when she says that there's three things you need to know about her, and the last thing is that sometimes she lies. I felt like I should have been taking notes throughout the book to figure out the lies better.

Listened to this twice so far and feeling like I need to listen again to figure it out! Really good.

I got bored. I would hit the 30-second fast forward button over and over. Decent narrator and story line but drawn out. Too jumpy around and the end was blah

This book was great, although a little predictable at points! I would say the twist kept your interest pretty well, solid read!

Stephanie Racine is an amazing narrator. I'm going to look for a list of other books that she completed.

Loved it, great psychological thriller!

Narrator was great. The book was too dark for my taste and confusing. I still didn’t know who was who and what actually happened in the end.

What a great book! I thought I was understanding what was going on, then I had a “Whaaaat?” phase where I was completely confused, then when I realized what was going on, I couldn’t believe it. Dark, unpredictable and addicting!

I would like to give this book a higher rating. It started out great, with lots of intrigue, but I think it lost some steam! It left a lot dangling st the end. The narrator was very good!

This book keeps you guessing - that's for sure! However, I like closure at the end of the book and I'm not sure you get that. I don't want to give anything away but this would have been a great book club discussion to see how people react to the ending.
