Unabridged Audiobook
Once again I am eternally grateful to have been born and American girl in this time. It is only through reading of history and other cultures we can arrive at this conclusion with deep empathy and the realization of just how lucky we are. This is a beautifully told story of a girl growing up in Iran before the revolution. She dared to have dreams and ideas that were different than her fathers. This was her mortal sin. It isn't until the conclusion that the fiction/nonfiction aspect is revealed. (But, don't flip forward. It will spoil the story for you) My book club partners who read the hard copy said it was well written and an easy read. The narrator on Audiobook was very good. Her inflections and hint of an accent added to the authenticity. I would recommend this to everyone who likes a real story that doesn't need a fairytale ending.
