Unabridged Audiobook
I read the book when it first came out and I still have it. I got this audio version because I wanted to read it again but it’s easier to listen during a commute. The narrator is perfect. The book presented by a psychologist gives an alternative opinion to psychology as an explanation of why people are the way they are and why life is the way it is. He says a soul knows it’s purpose before it is born but forgets that purpose and that’s why it is accompanied here with a spirit guide… the guide is sort of nudging a person along, trying to keep them on their path. And the book is an attempt to prove this theory. The most convincing aspect from the author is his repeated reference to a chapter from Platos Republic about the acorn. That a person is born with a predetermined calling to fulfill and a predetermined character so inclined to its own calling.
