Unabridged Audiobook
Decent read. Story line seems a little stale with the overbearing mother. Slight twist in the end.
It was a bit juvenile for me - the boyfriends, the yes, no, yes, no, the backwards and forwards, the arguments. After and a couple of hours, I actually skipped to an hour before the end and it pretty much summed up the whole book. Maybe this would suit much younger readers - late teenagers who would appreciate and enjoy the story? To be honest, it was a waste of a VIP credit for me.
It was incredibly hard to get into and felt like it dragged on forever. There was a semi interesting twist that I didn't completely figure out. (with Delta) All the back and forth was exhausting but somehow still didn't fully give back stories in depth. For someone who was so in love with someone else she seemed to love him as a babysitter more. I don't know. . . this was lackluster at best for me. No real fire, mediocre character development, and it missed the mark on truly tying up loose ends. I feel like the book didn't really start until about 9 hours in. 3 stars as I can't do half stars or it would have been 2.5. A pleasant enough voice for narration and it did put me to sleep on multiple occasions trying to finish it. . . so I guess that's a win?
