This was such a lovely story. The relationship that develops between the two main characters feels genuine. The narration was spot on. I'll be looking for more from this narrator. If you're looking for a feel good, gives you giggles kind of book, then definitely check this one out.

I LOVED this story! For a VIP pick, I can say, without hesitation, this was my favorite VIP pick ever. Most of them I do not even finish. I really do not read too many rom com books, but once in a blue moon, I need a good romance story. I think the reason that I loved this story so much, I loved the main characters. They were both so honest, such good hearted people. They were both those kind of people that don't have a need to put on any airs, they are not trying to impress anyone. Rosie is a tell it like it is kind of girl, but not in a nasty way, she just says what she feels. She reminded me of myself a bit. Same with Aled. How rare it is to find a guy who is smart, handsome, but doesn't let him get involved in relationships that he does not see going anywhere. He is not shallow. He is not wasting his time with someone who is just a pretty face but lacks the qualities of someone he can see being with long term. I was not crazy about Rosie's mom initially, but that part ended well too. I have never read a story that I just wholeheartedly loved the charachters so much. I was cheering, and hoping for them right to the end. Thank you Laura Starkey, what a beautiful story. And the narrator was perfect, simply perfect. I often pick up audio picks based on the narrator, and this one was lovely, and I hope that she reads more stories. This book was an A plus. When I get into a rut and am not happy with anything in my giant collection of audiobooks, this will be one that I go back to and listen to again.

avoid! the narrator has an awful voice and the book was predictable and boring. The author had to keep bringing up that the main character was overweight at every chance which was a very odd choice. I struggled to finish listening. This romance books is pg-13 so if youre looking for romance smut with plot this isn't it. What a waste of a credit.

This ended up being on the narrow selection of books that I had to choose from to use my VIP audiobook credit. Talk about do not judge a book by its cover! This book had such depth wrapped up in moments that will make you laugh, cry, and even inspire you. It was exactly the book I needed at this time of my life. if you are going through any kind of breakup, divorce, or feel lost in life… definitely give this a read. Guaranteed to cheer you up. IMO

First book I've read by this author. I was very pleasantly surprised by the depth of the characters. Loved it; the narration and pace of the story was great. It wasn't so heavy, yet it wasn't simplistic either. I looked forward to listening to it; problems and personal issues were resolved beautifully and quite realistically. I'm going to check out other books by Laura Starkey. Try it. I think you'll like it if you want substance, but a lighter read than some.

I appreciated the fact that when the couple eventually ends up in bed together, we don't have to hear all about it. This is more of G rated RomCom and I knew that going in after reading other reviews. It's a cute story and I love that the main character is a clutzy, voluptuous, 32 year old. I also love that she gets stuck in her own head at times. Because of those characteristics, she seems more believable, it really is a wonderfully written and put together RomCom.

So much fun! I wish I could somehow forget it so I could go back and listen again for the first time!!
