Unabridged Audiobook
Vintage Stephen King. Creative with some great lines.....don't be expected to be "scared" by this one though. In this piece, King takes a small, mundane situation (man being told he is overweight by his doc) and expands it into something else entirely.
Not King's best work, but not as bad as the other readers would have you believe. Besides, King's work deserves at least the hour and a half it takes to listen to, if you've enjoyed any of his work previously.
I'd recommend listening to this story. Not a real riveting story, quite forgetable...I had to go through it twice. The part where the doctor is addressing the cholesterol issue was actually more informative than my own doctor had described.
hated it. was so boring. i could not finish it. very disappointed in king.
This was a good book, not necessarily Stephen King horror, but still an interesting story. It was interesting and kept you guessing. Like all his books, not really possible, but he makes you believe it is.
A great little story! Only King can get away with it.
I am a life-long Stephen King fan but had never read this one. While I would have enjoyed it more had King narrated it himself, this was a great example of him being brief, which he is so rarely! I found it easy to identify with the main character and was an interesting insight into a mind which is capable of going over the edge. You will enjoy this little story.
I was not thrilled. I had difficulty maintaining attention to the story line while riding my stationary bike.
Very boring. I would not recommend this title at all.
