Summary
Geronimo (1829 - 1909) was a prominent leader of the Bedonkohe Apache who fought against Mexico and the United States for their expansion into Apache tribal lands for several decades during the Apache Wars. "Geronimo" was the name given to him during a battle with Mexican soldiers.

After an attack by a company of Mexican soldiers killed his mother, wife and three children in 1858, Geronimo joined revenge attacks on the Mexicans. During his career as a war chief, he was notorious for consistently urging raids upon Mexican Provinces and their towns, and later against American locations across Arizona, New Mexico and western Texas. What listeners say
The audiobook presents a compelling historical narrative that deeply affects listeners due to its realistic portrayal of Apache struggles. Listeners appreciate the insightful depiction of government deceit towards Native Americans. While the story is engaging and educational, some find the narration to be lacking in quality. Overall, it is considered a suitable listen for those interested in historical and Native American themes. The mixed feedback centers primarily on narration performance.

Intriguing read, that at the end made me very sad. I did not expect to feel so much for the characters and their situation. It is a great approach to understanding and appreciating the complicated problems the Apaches were faced with after their land was stolen and their lifestyle turned upside down. I recommend this to anyone who wants a quick read, and/or is interested in historical figures, or Native Americans. It is also suitable for young readers. Because it is not just a heroic, made-up story, the ending is unfortunately a realistic one.

Very interesting story and I must say it tells a lot about the deceit by the American government regarding treaties with the native Americans, I believe the US Government broke every single treaty they made with the native Americans and I fully support any action by the native Americans against the settlers who wanted all the good lands for themselves.

Geronimo was one tough dude! Interesting book if your into this sort of thing. The narration was done by at least 3 different people and not very good but tolerable. It was free so what should I expect.
