Unabridged Audiobook
This book was written for children. It was frustrating that at the beginning of each chapter, and the chapters were very short, the narrator announced the author, narrator, date of the recording, the publisher, and how to access the publishing company. This was overdone and very annoying to the reader to be subjected to the same information over and over.
An excellent book for those interested in the history of mankind, if you like this one you should also read (if you can get hold of a copy) his book Van Loons’ Friends. A brilliant book!
The writer clearly bit off much more than they could chew. But then again who in their right mind could chew the entire history of mankind on earth. No one! But like we had this missing link thing and there were humans then the missing, then humans again. The writer doesn’t even deal with that and that’s unforgivable.
Was looking forward to listening to this but sadly it reminded me of dull school history lesson. Wooden narrator who insisted on telling us between each chapter who she was, where from
Very entertaining but moved just a little too fast
