Anna Katharine Green (November 11, 1846 – April 11, 1935) was an American poet and novelist. She was one of the first writers of detective fiction in America and distinguished herself by writing well plotted, legally accurate stories (no doubt assisted by her lawyer father).

*THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS* I know that the story was not about the other red haired girl who turned up dead but I would have expected some form of closure to that chapter. Overall I loved the storyline, couldn't wait to find out what the end would be like. The sound quality could be improved on some chapters.

Although it is a good book, it was completely ruined every time Lucy Burgeon began to read. It reminded me of a child who has just learned to read but also had a voice that resembles that of a nail scraping a chalkboard. It was very painful to get through the chapters she read. However, the other narrators, although to many for my taste, read well and were good. But the book is ruined every time Mrs. Lucy vegans to narrate.

The complex story is written in narrative style. Some narrators much better than others for clarity and listen ability.
