Unabridged Audiobook
An excellent, honest and raw description
The narrative of the life of this woman is so ENTITLED. That’s my review. Unfortunately I have nothing else to add.
When Belle made the decision at that moment to make James the sandwich, she was going through the motions of playing her role as the dutiful wife of 20 years, and peace making mom. The real question should have been. After what James put you through, knowing what he’s capable of, would you make him the sandwich today?
Although my divorce ended with the once love of my life for different reasons… Addiction, I really could relate to everything that Bell was feeling and going through. Listening to this book has motivated me to get back to my dream of writing a memoir of what I went through.
She seems like an honest and thoughtful person who really loved her husband. Being well off doesn’t eradicate the pain of the loss.
Fantastic memoir! Listened to the book straight through on an 8-hour road trip. I appreciate the thoughtful approach to the recounting of her family's story.
Well written. Very courageous in several ways. I don’t feel there is revenge here. Just an honest accounting in a very useful way. We all need an honest look at ourselves in order to grow and we all need to try and accept others and their wounds and triumphs with as much understanding as we can muster. Well done.
Loved it!
A very interesting story which was sad, but insightful. I’m glad that it all turned out okay for Belle…
It really touched me, so insightful, so many details that I am sure many women married or not, in a good marriage or not, can relate to.
