Unabridged Audiobook
First off, I am a huge Simon R. Green fan and love all of his different series. SRG always has strong female characters and doesn't rely on tired tropes, unless it is to challenge them. The Hawk and Fisher books combine complex political intrigue and rousing action and bloodshed which is double the fun. I get such a kick out of how SRG mixes up (stomps on) the traditional husband-wife crime, fighting team gender roles. However, both of the Hawk and Fisher characters are completely relatable and nuanced. The narration is stellar and I can really 'see' each of the characters. A totally entertaining read
