Unabridged Audiobook
I was expecting the book to be more practical and educational, rather than Shannon’s personal reflections on her journey through mediumship. The most valuable part was the last 30 mins. In the book Shannon uses the word ‘retarded’ when referring to her loss of cognitive function following a head injury from a riding accident. Was this necessary? There are also references to her drug use which makes me question the legitimacy of what she sees and hears. Could they simply be drug induced delusions or visual and auditory hallucinations? This book left me feeling frustrated, it was more of a biography.
