Unabridged Audiobook
This was absolutely fascinating! I am already an avid reader, and have read many of the works that the authors discuss here, but I was amazed by the sheer volume of literary links in Taylor's work. There are quite a few that I have yet to read. Some of Taylor's literary references can seem obscure or ambiguous, and I appreciate that there are times the authors point this out. The last chapter, specifically the part about The Manuscript, really touches on this point. Overall, the authors make the connections between Taylor's lyrics and the literary works much easier to digest. The narration was fine for me, but I was already interested and invested in the material. I do think it was pretty cool to have the narrator be one of the authors. It does come off as more of a Professor teaching a lecture though.
