Unabridged Audiobook
The voice suits the book, it is a pleasure to listen.
This book is one that has really stuck with me over time. A fascinating account of apprenticing a medecine man.
I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THIS BOOK N THEIR LIBRARY
Perhaps if I were under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs I would have enjoyed this book, as it was I found it aburridisimo!
I discovered the Carlos Casteñeda books while hitchhiking through Mexico, Central and South America in the 1970‘s. They made a great impression on me then. Revisiting the first book in the series via audio reawakened many memories of that time. I am tempted to search out all his books kept in the attic and revisit Don Juan‘s whole journey again. The narration was good.
I simply couldn't get interested in this. I find the writing as stiff as an engineer's list of useful fasteners. The characters are as flat as shadows. As far ad I can tell it has nothing to do with the womanizer "Don Juan" as I'd anticipated. Of course I didn't get very far into this before I decided to put this book down,.
