Tertium Organum: The Third Canon of Thought

First published in 1912, Tertium Organum is a landmark work of philosophical mysticism that asks a deceptively simple question: what if the world we perceive through our five senses is only a fraction of what actually exists? Building on the legacy of Aristotle's Organon and Bacon's Novum Organum, Ouspensky proposes a 'third canon of thought' -- a new instrument of reasoning capable of grasping dimensions of reality that ordinary logic cannot reach.

Drawing on mathematics, psychology, Eastern philosophy, and the emerging science of his time, Ouspensky guides listeners through a series of striking thought experiments: the nature of the fourth dimension, the limits of three-dimensional perception, the possibility of higher forms of consciousness, and the idea that time and space themselves may be illusions born of a limited mind. Along the way, he weaves in reflections on art, sexual love, evolution, and the potential for humanity to awaken to a richer, more unified perception of the universe.

Part philosophy, part mysticism, part precursor to modern consciousness studies, Tertium Organum became one of the most influential esoteric texts of the twentieth century, shaping later movements in New Age thought and the human potential movement. For listeners drawn to big questions about the nature of reality, perception, and higher consciousness, this audiobook offers a thought-provoking journey beyond the boundaries of ordinary thinking.
