I hadn't read this book in over 30 years. Listening to it in audio form was an excellent way to reacquaint myself. The story is wonderful, the characters are fantastic, the descriptions are captivating. Worth every minute of listening.

Excellent book to sit and relax with... Easy to listen to

One of the greatest books ever written. Read by an amazing narrator with good character voices.

A great story it could have done with less singing, but it was great nonetheless.

Rob ingles does a great job reading the hobbit and the movie was awesome

the hobbit book, was an awesome book... the story line was excellent and the narrator was amazing, the different voice ,were inspireing, how he was able to perform them all, made me want to listen to the whole book, an never pause it until the very end

Great book, great narrator.

This book was an experience that I am excited to listen to over and over again. The narration couldn't have been better. His voice is perfect. The adventure is exciting and entertaining.

This is the first book I read as a child, will always be a favorite of mine and I enjoy sharing it with the new generations

This is my first audio book and could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The book was extremely well narrated. Rob Inglis has made this experience unforgettable. I have read all the LOTR Books and this is my favorite time yet, Thank you.

The reader did an awesome job with all the characters. I really enjoyed the entire experience. Now I'm ready for the Lord of The Rings????

Still just as amazing as it was when I was a child.

Since 5th grade I've been transfixed with these works, 40 years. Now, I am able to share them with my children and my grandchild. They cross the boundaries of nation, Creed and economy to bring us all into this one world. Thank you again Mr. Tolkien, the world could use you right about now.

this was a very interesting book

I enjoyed hearing the differences from movie to book. I’m so glad I decided to give it a try. The narrator was amazing and did such a great job with all the different voices.

Interesting story

Great listen,the narrator was great could have done with out the singing. Im currently finishing fellowship and about to begin two towers and its more of the same great books, narrator was great but could do without the singing. The skip button has done me well.

It's a beautiful reading that really captivates you, it helps that the story is amazing and the narrator can hold your attention. Although I did notice the characters didn't seem to ever have a solid voice which was confusing but ammusing.

In my humble opinion, this book is beyond wonderful, adventurous, and exciting. But best of all was the narrator who gave life, who sang with the elves and whose voice rose and fell with the story of a most beloved book.
