Unabridged Audiobook
A real classic and fun to read.
A great story that only wanes because of time. These are strong characters doing strong things as they did back then. You know, double crossing, lying, fighting, smoking cigarettes non stop and drinking Bourbon all day long. Some readers may not understand the tone of the day, but the story holds up. If in SF, you can still see the author's home at 891 Post Street and eat at John's Grill at 63 Ellis Street and even order the "Sam Spade's Lamb Chops" from the menu. A pretty cool tie to literature, for sure.
Great, my favorite detective novel.
Seven hours of some thug bullying people. Really. That's the whole book.
