The Old Testament: Ruth

In Christianity, The Book of Ruth is treated as a history book, and placed between Judges and 1 Samuel. Set in a time of great famine and struggle, the story follows the spiritual journey of its central figure, Ruth the Moabitess - great-grandmother of King David - and her acceptance of the God of the Israelites, and the Isaelite people as her own.
