Unabridged Audiobook
An excellent demonstration of old tome-style prose and deep fiction. Vaguely reminiscent of Lord of the Rings, The Worm Ouroboros in rich in detail and thick with plot. The characters, however show little development and are very difficult to relate with. However, their struggles and adventures are so beautifully portrayed that this may be forgiven. Narration was well done, not overly dramatized -- a rare thing these days -- but not monotonous or boring.
I loved the intricate rich details and the lovely crafting of language by the author. Jason Mills delivered a skillful oral performance in the reading of this story. To say this is a difficult read is an understatement, but Mr. Mills' fluent and expressive style kept me bound to the edge of my seat.
