Unabridged Audiobook
I love everything David Sedaris writes, but I especially love hearing his narration. It’s magical. Reading the words wouldn’t compare to hearing them in his own voice.
Sadly, this is the last Sedaris book for me until he writes more. I highly recommend reading this book after you’ve read most (if not all) of David’s other works. I agree with the author; this book isn’t made to read from start to finish in one sitting. That being said, it was an exciting moment to see the origins of his stories from other books.
I think David Sedaris has exhausted his trove of personal experience. I found this to be a lot less fresh than his earlier work, although he continues to demonstrate that he is one of today's most sardonic and insightful comedic talents. I hope he'll wait for another decade of life before writing yet another book about his.... life.
Authentic. Sardonic and hilarious.
