It was hard to listen to from some of the readers.

I was very upset that most of this book was read by females. Although the voices were very clear, it was ridiculous to hear such a dynamic, robust president interpretated as a woman! I could not finish listening.

If you enjoy monotone speed reading by multiple narrators this is the book for you. Poor audio quality with frequent echoing detracted from an otherwise well written book.

Wish we had more like him today’s

Roosevelt was a fascinating man. His insights into corruption, labor, and war were particularly interesting. He does have a tendency to wander into topics that don’t really make sense in a biography, and the Librivox narration was only passable though. Great read!

I love the book

Great book I really enjoyed it, except for listening to Daisy 55, I couldn’t understand a single word.

Some of the narrator’s were not so great to listen to.

Varied narration from chapter to chapter. Really made me enjoy the book less. A few narrators were very hard to understand or had a lot of back ground noice. I do know that was done by volunteers so that consistently can’t always be had. But a guy can dream. This is a looong recording. So if you want to skip to the chapters that immediately relate to you, I suggest it.

Someone there must have bumped their heads or be on drugs to have woman read this mans autobiography

There were some very difficult narrators reading this book. It really made for a difficult listen. I didn’t enjoy the book at all.

Profile Avatar James M. Aug 2020

Not that good.
