Abridged Audiobook
Another great read!! Woohoo ....Or listen
This is the shorter version of a good story Was not able yet to get thr unabridged version. Entertaining to hrar the story as Delaware and Milo interact Reader was easy to listen to, and he made the story worth hearing. Kellerman writes good stories.
Delaware and Milo are again out to solve a murder. This case involve more information about psychological therapy than prior books. Also one of the murdered women was a psychologist. So a bit of information about legal issues about pt files was provided. John Rubinstein did a good job narrating the book.
I've read all of the Alex Delaware novels, but this is only my second of the audiobook versions. Kellerman's books should always be heard unabridged, otherwise you miss the humorous details with which he describes his many flawed characters. Four out of five stars (instead of 5) because this book seemed to be a long string of interviews conducted by Alex and/or Milo, with few other scenarios. Missing was the thrilling sense of danger present in the other novels. Still Kellerman's character studies are brilliant and always rise above mediocre. The narrator is a genius with accents. I'm on a search now to find books with the same narrator.
Well, I did it again! I had already listened to this book and ordered it again. Anyway, it was just as good the second time!
Alex Delaware and Milo are back. For fans of Kellerman, you will listen and be entertained. There is a nice familiarity in the characters who remain constistanly interesting. I recommend this one for fans, for new readers, I think there are better Kellerman novels to start off with.
I am a huge fan of mystery books and was excited to see a series I had not read/listened to yet. This was the first of Mr. Kellerman's books I had tried. What a disappointment! The text spends way too much time off on superfluous details about food, clothes, fashions, etc... and the reader did an okay job with the voice of the friend of the main character, Milo, but otherwise was a disappointment too. I got 2/3's of the way through and called it a day. I won't try again.
This is great book. I can't wait for the remaining part of the book to come in the mail. :)
Another fantastic "page turner" Alex Delaware novel. Narration was good too.
This is my second Alex Delaware and Milo novel. Another great who dunit.
Good story, interesting and multi-dimensional characters. The plot is good too, easy to follow...deals with a scam involving therapy for ex-cons and ultimately murder. Kellerman's recurring Dr. Delware and his best friend, Milo - continuing to be interesting and engaging. I would recommend this one for Kellerman fans as well as someone looking for good action!
I'm never disappointed by Jonathan Kellerman. The worst part of this book was waiting for the next shipment so that I could hear the rest of the story! The story is snappy, and the narration is excellent. You won't regret renting this one!
I really enjoy Alex Delaware....He keeps my mind guessing and he is as clever as they come. Keep them coming..
One of my favorite authors, so no surprise that I loved this book. It has surprising twists and turns and keeps you listening. It also moves along the story line of Delaware's private life, which is something I always look for.
I was a little disappointed by this book. There was a lot of hype about it when it came out that it did not live up to. I'm not sure whether it was the fact that it's abridged or whether it is just the story content but the novel lacked motive and character depth. It was too anti-climactic.
