Summary
There's Laughter in the Air takes readers on a sidesplitting romp through the world of old-time radio comedy. It gives a brief history of the medium and brief but intimate accounts of some of the biggest acts from the 1930s and 1940s. Gaver and Stanley give insight on several luminaries from the days of vintage radio: Jack Benny, Fred Allen, Fibber McGee and Molly, Burns and Allen, Amos 'n Andy, and more! (Summary by ChuckW)

Nothing funny about this one - terrible. If you were looking to listen to the old radio shows you will be disappointed. This is some sort of history lesson and you don’t even get to hear any of the old routines - just a few second snippets. Couldn’t make it through the whole book.

This may not be a useful review for many because I could only cope with a few excerpts for a few minutes. I was expecting to hear some great comedians going through their repertoire but what I heard was a narrator with the most annoying monotone voice narrating some sort of history of certain comedians; as I said a few minutes was enough for me to switch it off!
