This has been my favorite book for decades and continues to be! Nancy E. Turner is so descriptive and makes you feel as though you’re right there along for this exciting, heartwarming and sometimes heart wrenching ride! Why this book has never been made into a movie is beyond me. The narrator does an absolutely perfect job. I’m 66 years old and have read this book more times than I can count so I was concerned the narration wouldn’t do it justice,; but I was WRONG! Wonderful book!!! Please give it a try!

Narration wasn't great, a bit slow, monotone and dragging. Could have brought a lot more excitement to this book. The book itself was not bad, but would prefer more drama and detail. It didn't hold my attention all that well.
I loved this book! I would have never picked this book up in a million years, however the book club picked it for me.....AND I am so glad they did, this is a great story. It is a must read! Also a great book club discussion book, we talked for ever on this one.
Amazing book! Travel through the life experiences of a young girl as she grows into a young woman. Share the tragedies and joyful moments of her life. This book kept my complete attention from the first words, to the very end. I cried, I smiled and I was sad when it was over. The narrator captured Miss Sarah Prine perfectly! I loved listening to this book. I highly recommend it!
