Unabridged Audiobook
By far, the weakest of the Bob Lee Swagger books. Part of it is the subject matter, I really don't care to hear another JFK conspiracy theory. I certainly don't need to hear it in the excruciating detail Hunter goes into in this book. It seemed he was trying to make some literary point and add depth to Meachems character, since the mind numbing details seemed especially painful during Meachems sections. *****POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW**** Even ignoring the suffocating detail level, Hunter took short cuts this time. Regarding the ambush of Swagger in Connecticut, 4 highly trained, best of the best commando's loaded to the gills with every weapon available, including a helicopter (which they send away not to draw attention to the operation.......) somehow first have no grenades or launchers, second attack one at a time. This is the second Swagger book I have listened to (as opposed to reading 6 or 7 others), and I do have to admit, I am not a fan of Buck S which may have added to my dissatisfaction. Taking a break from Swagger for a while, maybe that was part of the problem too.
