Three Detail Stories: Volume 9

Once upon a time there was a family: a mommy, a daddy, a sister and a brother. One day, the Daddy Dude, who happened to be an English professor, had an idea. He would teach his young children about story structure by asking them to come up with three random details. Then, he would make up a tale on the spot, using those three details. Thus: Three Detail Stories was born! At bedtime, Itasca and River choose the details, and Daddy spins the yarns. This collection includes a little girl who pulls an epic prank on her sibblings, convincing them that a sophisticated and intelligent creature lives in a stump in the back yard. It also includes the tale of a pilot who cannot figure out how to fly faster than a parrot, a fox with major problems telling time, and a boy who is determined to decide for himself whether horses are 'nice,' and what exactly people mean by 'nice.'
