Unabridged Audiobook
I thought the book was good.
As with the only other book of hers that I've read (What Happened to Nina), this book left me feeling utterly unsatisfied after finishing it. Everything is resolved, but like. is it though. is it really.Nobody is super likable, which is fine, but it's really hard to care about what happens to any of them because it feels very much like the author is *trying* to make the reader hate them all (with a VERY few exceptions). Or a character will be unlikable but, with a bit of character exploration, they are at least fun to read about and- oh. oh nevermind they never come back into the story now. okay. okay cool. That's not even getting into how weird the story gets.I just don't think this author is for me. Both books that I've read of hers have left me wondering why I wasted the time and money on them. Despite the mystery being solved or whatever, the aftertaste of this book is very much the unsettled feeling of a badly-made unsolved crime documentary. That sure did take up some of my time and leave me a bit sadder, a little confused, and with no more answers than I started with. The narration was very good, however.
loved listening to this story, the narrator was perfect
