Unabridged Audiobook
The soliloquies, especially comparing one time period to another, capture the vapidness of modern culture as no other written book. Finney nails it, from character development to intriguing plot to intricate descriptions of each scene. I’m almost convinced the author time traveled! Imagine morality being spun in a sci fi piece. So very well done. Wonderful narration.
Great story. One I will definitely listen to again. Great narration also.
The descriptions of the streets were a bit long for me. The story was very interesting though and I loved the gravity the narrator put into some of the more action-y scenes.
This is a great story about one of my favorite science fiction subjects, time travel. Originally written in 1970 and set in New York city, the story is as compelling now as it was then. I recommend it for anyone who is fascinated with the subject of traveling through time.I think this book would make a great movie though I understand several preliminary attempts to do that have not borne fruit. Perhaps the right producer hasn't emerged yet. I'm sure modern movie technology could produce a quality product.
love every bit of it
The book itself is very good, the narration is wonderful but I'm a Christian and some of the language was offensive especially the amount of times the author used GD.
