Unabridged Audiobook
I follow Mayci and her friends on social media and watch their show, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, so I’m very aware of who Mayci is. First of all, she is incredibly brave to be so open about her past. I really find her stories interesting and heartbreaking and they made me respect her more. My only complaint is with the writing - it felt very elementary and like she needed a co-writer to help with some of the chapters.
I think she is brave to tell he story but it feels like she is reading bullet points. This desperately needed a co-writer to help the story flow and be more interesting. And the reading felt very flat.
I’m a SLOMW watcher, but honestly this was a pretty hard read. I get that Mayci isn’t a writer and is just sharing her story, but I felt like I was reading the writing of an elementary aged kid. The substance was good, the way it was written could use work. I did enjoy getting to hear more of her story that isn’t shown on the show because it helped me understand her a lot better.
shallow content. capitalizing on current fame.
Very fascinating to hear Mayci’s story
Amazing sweet story that reads like fiction with all its personality and tragedy. Many tears and many wishes for the best for Mayci x
Made is less than 30 minutes. Her reading is terrible and her writing is worse. Don’t waste a credit on this drivel.
I like when the author narrates, but it just didn’t work this time
really nice
