My favourite Le Guin book. She gets the story right!
Their is something intangible about the second book in this series. The first in the series often seemed incomplete, with holes in it like Swiss cheese. This one picks up steam.
It’s like a orange that is surprisingly sweet, and better than any of the others in a bunch. Good enough that you might keep peeling Le Guin books to see if you can find another just as sweet.
For a long while I was wondering how this book fit. Then, wham, gotcha! Like a mystery and sci fi all in one! Nice!
