Unabridged Audiobook
I really liked this detective story. Philip Trent, an artist who is also known for his ability as a detective, is asked to investigate a murder of a man who is in high finance. His attention to detail in investigating helps him to discover clues his policeman friend has missed. However, in this case, Trent finds he has emotions mixed in with his detective skills. And then is torn whether to report his findings or to withhold them for the sake of the widow’s reputation. But those emotions seem to have confused the issue too much, which leads to his final declaration that this will be his last case. The narration is okay. The South Asian reader could do with more research into English pronunciation. It just makes it difficult to work out what has been said and so alters understanding of the meaning.
The book was great for the first half of the chapters. Then a narrator started with a accent that you couldn't understand what she was saying.
