Following their attack on Devil’s Den, Pelagius and his friends nurse their wounds and mourn their losses. Marquis Babu is dead, but the cost was high–and an even more nefarious menace now waits in the wings....


Even as the friends now stand trial for murder at the castle of King Demonicus, power-hungry soulborn Alasdar has laid claim to Babu’s lordship, and with the mysterious and sinister Green-Eyed Man, plans no less than treacherous, full-scale revolution.


But when Babu’s crimes are brought to light, the king proves merciful. When sentence is passed, with it comes the chance to redeem themselves: they will compete in the Grand Tourney–an epic gladiatorial event of valor, strength, and honor, which brings together the strongest warriors of all the kingdoms the Sarcascan continent. Winning the tournament is their only hope of acquittal.


Meanwhile, the threat to the kingdom of Diablos simmers and grows in Devil’s Den.
