Unabridged Audiobook
Fantastic, well written biography of such a wild band. It might seem overwhelming at 20 hours, but the narrator is excellent and it flows by. You will learn all about the members, their upbringing, their influences and people who contributed to their career. The relationship between Paul and Tommy was very special and even though his brother Bob was in the band, I felt like they were even closer. I laughed out loud at some of their antics and was close to tears a few times. I wish I had been old enough to witness it when it was happening.
Incredible!
Tragic story. As a big fan of the band but not knowing too much about their history, I didn't realize how self destructive and, dare I say, jerks that they were. I still felt myself rooting for them and found myself shaking my head to see how they went out of their way to ensure that they never made commercial success. Book was very detailed and informative. I did have to listen at 1.5x speed because it took too long if at 1x.
Great book on a band with a story to tell. The trading was done.
