Trunk Music

Unabridged Audiobook

Written By: Michael Connelly

Narrated By: Dick Hill

Publisher: Brilliance Audio

Date: September 2004

Duration: 12 hours 43 minutes

Summary:

Back on the job after an involuntary leave of absence, LAPD homicide detective Harry Bosch is ready for a challenge. But his first case is a little more than he bargained for. It starts with the body of a Hollywood producer in the trunk of a Rolls-Royce, shot twice in the head at close range - what looks like "trunk music," a Mafia hit. But the LAPD's organized crime unit is curiously uninterested, and when Harry follows a trail of gambling debts to Las Vegas, the case suddenly becomes more complex - and much more personal. A rekindled romance with an old girlfriend opens new perspectives on the murder, and he begins to glimpse a shocking triangle of corruption and collusion. Yanked off the case, Harry himself is soon the one being investigated. But only a bullet can stop Harry when he's searching for the truth . . .

I love every single one of the Harry Bosch books. When I find myself gripping the steering wheel because I'm so into the story, that's when you know it's a good story...and that's how I feel about all these books!

    Great book

Not my favorite Harry Bosch but still worth buying. Not sure why every time Harry refers to his girlfriend he has to say her last name as well. Basic plot was good, just seemed a little thin, comparatively.

I read this book when it was first released. I am a big fan of Michael Connelly, especially the Harry Bosch novels. I enjoyed it just as much the second time round.

I really enjoy the Harry Bosch character. Michael Connelly does it again.

For fans of Harry Bosch, this is another great book. The narrator is very good and time flies while in the car.

  • Robert Mathieu

Early Harry Bosch with a tale typically Connelly. Excellent listening for the commuter.
