Genre: Tech documentary essay / AI ethics / speculative nonfiction
TRUST MODE is a cinematic nonfiction audiobook exploring one of the defining questions of the AI age: what happens when intelligent systems gain not only the ability to act, but the judgment to refuse?

Built around the real-world Swiss F/A-18 Hornet system and projected through the lens of 2030, the audiobook combines documented technological foundations with carefully framed speculation about autonomy, restraint, trust, and machine ethics.

Rather than presenting AI simply as a race toward greater capability, TRUST MODE asks a more difficult question: when should an intelligent system decide not to act? The result is a timely exploration of human judgment, autonomous systems, military technology, responsibility, and the changing relationship between humans and machines.

The production is designed specifically for audio, using a cinematic narrative structure, deliberate pacing, sound design, and a documentary-style presentation rather than a conventional read-aloud format.

TRUST MODE is particularly well suited to listeners interested in AI, emerging technology, aviation, autonomous systems, ethics, and future society, as well as audiences familiar with WIRED, Hard Fork, Radiolab, and narrative technology nonfiction.

With its distinctive premise, international subject matter, and audio-first production style, TRUST MODE is a strong candidate for prominent placement in Technology, AI, Future & Society, Military Technology, and Science & Ethics categories, and has clear potential for multilingual expansion.
