Wonderful story and excellent narrator. I drove for 10 hours listening to this story and was entranced. The time flew by.

Listened to this story once the new season of the Netflix show "Haunting of Hill House" will be based on this novel and will become the "Haunting of Bly Manor" for the upcoming season. Overall, the story is grim, gothic, and keeps the reader guessing to the end. I'm excited to see what the adaptation will look like. The biggest issue I have with the book is the narration and introduction of each chapter. But when the book is free, how much can you really complain. Worth the listen
