Under Joshua's Shadow

Tom and Val are waiting for their friend Joshua to be released from a halfway house program. While Tom, former partner to Joshua, is reconsidering rekindling their relationship, Val is eager to have Joshua return to reestablish their former living arrangement. As Joshua resolves his own identity at the halfway house, Tom and Val begin to compete for Joshua's affection. Val uses her financial power manipulate, as Tom resorts to spiritual self-reflection. While Tom and Johsua are fortified with newfound perspectives of life, Val is determined to disrupt any reunion between them. In each of their pursuits to be reunited with Joshua, Tom and Val's friendship devolves into contentious strife as the day gets closer till Joshua is home. While the landscapes, cultural heritage, and spiritual institutions offer refuge, the story unfolds with complex twists and turns among three individuals who are still identifying existential forces within and around them.
