A titan of 19th century fantasy literature, George MacDonald also left an astonishing collection of sermons, Unspoken Sermons, which are amongst the finest to be found in the English language. About these sermons, C.S. Lewis wrote: “I know hardly any other writer who seems to be closer, or more continually close, to the Spirit of Christ Himself.”  

The Unspoken Sermons are timeless, beyond time even, and are as clear and as relevant today as they were when they were written in the 1860’s. Taken together they paint a thrilling picture of life, faith, and love that soars beyond the petty doctrines, silly rules, and judgmental dogmas that, alas, have dimmed Christianity in the eyes of so many.
