Unabridged Audiobook
Really enjoyed the book and narration!
A good story
Brilliant from beginning to end. The narration was very nicely done. I will certainly listen to it again.
Long but not bad
Fabulous story and really well narrated.
Well written with interesting medical and legal terminology and details. The use of x-rays was surprising for the period when they were not yet fully understood. With our knowledge now we can assume those involved in the experiments would have probably have subsequently suffered from cancer. An ingenious plot indeed.
Pleasant story, well read
Great ending where everything lines up
The book was good but it came alive because of the awesome reader!
Thoroughly enjoyed the suspense and intrigue. Great story line. Wish mystery murder stories were still written with his elegance.
I'm familiar with Libra vox recordings by amateur readers - the advantage of listening through Audiobook is that you don't have to manually reconnect to the recording at the end of every chapter. The disadvantage is the quality of the narration done by non professional readers. In this case Nicholas Clifford's narration wasn't bad, and the story was very engrossing. Enjoyed the cerebral nature of the mystery which really teases the listener to figure out what exactly happened.
Despite the 120 year-old setting, an intriguing story
Good story but incredibly wordy and the narrator volume and tempo are low and slow respectively, A good study of British entitlement and nonsensical imperialism of the setting..
nicely paced mystery. good narration.
Quite a good book but it got quite long and complicated telling the story but once I got into it I thought it was better than I anticipated
The narrator voice was awful. Couldn’t pay attention to the book long enough to know what it was about. Was done with it before that first chapter was over
Great story v got a bit fed up with reader
Very well written the story kept you in suspense. Great story.
Very good book, narration is clear and precise. Please
I enjoyed this book very much. Held my attention and I felt the narration was very good.
Hard to follow.
Got it all... mystery, romance, comedy and human nature :) excellent narration also
Loved this book, for its gentle style, but also for it's fascinating mystery. Written before the discovery of the Tutankhamen discovery, this was truly a joy.
If you are a fan of forensic medical investigation, you will enjoy this book. Freeman’s style is somewhat similar to Arthur Conan Doyle’s “Sherlock Holmes”.
Was a well written book , took me back in time as did the narrator!
