Unabridged Audiobook
Such a great story so atypical of these murder /crime fictions that can be quite formulaic. a likeable but not soppy lead with some quite interesting twists and turns along the way really enjoyed it
This was my monthly VIP book, so I knew practically nothing about this book going into it, and I had never read any of Tracy Buchanan’s works. That said, it is always a very pleasant surprise when I pick a VIP book I not only like, but it makes me want to read the rest of the books. I enjoyed the characters, Vanessa was a refreshing protagonist, and I found myself saddened by the loss of a side character that I wouldn’t have expected to feel. The forensic entomology aspect of the novel was fascinating, the mystery was played out in a way that I had ideas of where it was going, but I never could fully pinpoint exactly who the murderer was. The narrator also had a soothing voice that added to the book. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and have already recommended it to others.
very good. of course I like spiders and bugs. can't wait for next book
I enjoyed this audiobook. I figured out the ending beforehand, but it was still well worth the listen.
Excellent story, enjoyed the twists and innuendos. Narrator was very good, kept me listening.
Was brilliant enjoyed it till the very surprising end
it was intriguing and I loved the subject matter, not your typical topic and a good twist at the end.
Enjoyed the read, cant wait to read Vanessa’s next adventure
Very niche subject. Less of a thriller book with an insect subplot and more of an insect book with a thriller subplot. It was overkill imo and made it hard to stay invested.
Excellent read. The twists and turns kept me wanting answers, so it was hard to put down, especially in the last few chapters.
